As a classically trained actor, I bring over 30 years of experience on the stage to the microphone, as well as extensive voice acting training. This has honed my skills in understanding narrative flow, and emotional resonance - crucial elements in voice acting, whether telling the story of a product a person or a business.

For me, audiobooks are not just about reading words on a page; they are about creating an immersive experience. I dive deep into the characters, embracing their personalities, understanding their motivations, and bringing them to life with nuanced vocal performances. My approach goes beyond narration; it's about embodying the essence of each character and the overall tone of the story, all while being acutely conscious of the listener's experience.

Home Studio
Purpose-built studio
Like many Voice Actors, my home studio started as a cupboard lined with blankets. I am pleased to say my studio is now a little more spacious. Purpose-built to my specifications in 2019, my studio is sound treated and has been tested by engineers from The Showreel in London.
I work with a Neumann TLM102 Microphone, which suits my voice perfectly and use an Audient ID4 interface. I edit and master my work to your specifications using the latest Adobe Audition software.
I also sponsor a local community studio, where I have access to an Esmono Booth, a Zoom L8 mixing desk and 4 Shure SM7b microphones and 2 Rode NT1 Microphes. This booth can accommodate up to four actors for multi-cast work such as audio drama and can also be used for podcast recording.

For the past four years, I’ve proudly served as the moderator and host of The Author In Me Annual Literary Festival, where I’ve helped spotlight emerging voices and guide conversations that inspire, inform, and connect. My approach blends professionalism with genuine enthusiasm, ensuring every event runs smoothly and leaves a lasting impression.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Voice Actor Terms and Conditions
This agreement ("Agreement") is made between the Voice Actor ("Talent") and the Client ("Client") for the provision of voice recording services. By engaging the Talent (Sarah Jane Rose) , the Client agrees to the following terms:
1. Scope of Work
The Talent agrees to provide voice recording services as specified by the Client, including but not limited to narration, character voice work, commercial voiceovers, and other audio performances.
2. Usage Rights
The Client is granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the recordings solely for the purposes outlined in the project brief. Any use beyond the agreed scope requires prior written consent from the Talent.
3. Prohibited Uses
The Client agrees not to use, license, sell, or distribute the recordings, in whole or in part, for any of the following purposes:
Training, developing, or enhancing artificial intelligence (AI) voice models or synthetic voice technologies.
Integration into any AI-driven systems, including but not limited to text-to-speech engines, voice cloning software, or machine learning datasets.
Any use that may result in the replication, simulation, or imitation of the Talent’s voice by automated or synthetic means.
4. Ownership and Intellectual Property
The Talent retains all rights to their voice as a unique personal identifier. This includes moral rights and the right to control how their voice is used, reproduced, or modified.
5. Confidentiality
Both parties agree to maintain confidentiality regarding any proprietary information exchanged during the course of the project.
6. Payment Terms
Payment shall be made according to the agreed rate and schedule. Late payments may incur additional fees as outlined in the invoice.
7. Termination
Either party may terminate this agreement with written notice. Upon termination, the Client must cease all use of the recordings unless otherwise agreed in writing.
8. Indemnification
The Client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Talent from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from unauthorized use of the recordings.
